When I was 17 and wished I could be Jeana Rice (yeah, right?)

by Cristina Hoover

Hi, again! Just thought the readers might get a kick out of something I'd found at my parents' house and I would like to just add it to my (previous) comment; after it brought back old memories:

an attached old pic I scanned (of me!) in the Fall of 2003 leaving a meet in our school's auditorium (small town, so the auditorium doubled as the gym) and heading to the lockers

I know the leo looks blah compared to what they wear now(!), but I was wrong about criticizing the GK's leg cut for feeling it was radically higher today vs. what I had then. I think(?) I was probably 5'3" at the time and, seeing it again, it doesn't seem any more "skimpy" than the current competition style.

Sorry to seem like a pest, but thank you for creating this site and good luck with it!

@gina so true! Unfortunately, my thighs have gotten exponentially bigger since then; so I think I'd opt now for a yogatard instead --- lol! :(

They were fun years I wouldn't trade for anything.

Thank you for the gracious response.

I love your comments Cristina! It's so funny how things look different when we look back versus at the time! Leotards are kind of skimpy no matter what but it's really just a matter of degrees right :)
